Connected CoursewareŽ is a provider of academic
cybercourse services. We originally developed online course materials in 1993 and
published our first CD-ROM with multimedia, text and hyperlinks in 1996. Our goal is
to encourage the development of a wide variety of college and secondary school courses on
the global Internet. We use our web-based models to assist teachers and school
systems in creating computer-mediated learning modules designed for the "wired"
classroom, computer lab or home study. We are also a host server for a wide variety of
online courses from high school to the university level.
Connected CoursewareŽ will keep you informed about
Internet development tools used in online education. We review and recommend
vendors, contacts, software templates and accessories you can use to create a dynamic
computer-mediated learning environment, enriching your experience in cyberspace. We
believe that our approach empowers the learner in the context of the online
classroom. Our staff includes professors, scholars, computer experts and web
designers whose objective is to help you make the most out of the World Wide Web as a
learning environment for student and faculty.
Professors and Teachers: We can assist your efforts to
develop teaching in cyberspace by customizing the lesson plan for your course. We offer
scanning, OCR and web page authoring to turn your syllabus, assignments, slides and
pictures into dynamic web pages for posting on your host server (or on our site). We
can also include optional hyperlinks to selected websites and provide duplicate CD-ROMs
for student reference. We will work with you to create and maintain
databases containing images, notes, audio and video clips (real-time and download)
for your classroom connected to the Internet.
Students: You may browse our course offerings and
register for access to the course materials. We also assist in offering some reference and
research support along with recommended links to information-rich sites on the
web.
Schools and Colleges: As classrooms become connected to
the Internet, our site can serve as a host for your online courses. We offer a
reliable, cost-effective network platform with the capacity and security that meets or
exceeds the standards in the industry. Licensing of existing courses is another
alternative, which saves development costs.
