Connected CoursewareŽ was created in 1994 in order to provide University level course material on the web for a worldwide audience.

What we stand for (why we believe in dot-com teaching):

1.  We believe in the highest standards of scholarship, research and academic integrity.

2. We believe that cybercourses are an effective way to learn.

2. We believe that our approach empowers the learner in the context of the online classroom.

3. We believe that our web-based models will help in the development of a wide variety of college and secondary school cybercourses on the global Internet.

4. We believe that our resources will assist teachers and secondary school systems in creating computer-mediated learning modules designed for the "wired" classroom, computer lab or home study.

5. We believe in protecting the copyright of our original work and the copyright of all of the material owned by others used in our teaching.

6. We believe that our course material belongs to us.

Note: A University clearly "own" a course as a part of its curriculum as listed in most college catalogs.  However, professors are interchangeable.  We bring our own unique perspective to our field.   The structure, form and content of the course may change depending upon the teacher.    In our opinion teachers, professors and scholars are "authors" of academic courses.  The professor "owns" the content of the course as it is taught.  This is analogous to writing a book or publishing a paper.

7. We believe that we control the distribution of our course material beyond the home campus.

8. We believe that we should make our course material available to registered students and others who subscribe in order to gain access.

8.  We believe that the best way to make courses available is on our own website rather than an ".edu" website.

Note: Our "dot-com" website benefits subscribers by making textbooks, video and other products available through affiliate links.  This is not possible on an ".edu" website.

9. We believe that other professors, teachers and scholars who wish to place course materials online should consider joining us in this or a similar venture.

10. We believe in helping you to make the most out of the World Wide Web as a learning environment for student and faculty.

Students: You may browse our course offerings and REGISTER for access to the course materials. We also assist in offering some reference and research support along with recommended links to information-rich sites on the web.
